Long Irons - Never Fear Then Again

Most golfers will have their biggest battle with Supergirl longer clubs and that's not earth shattering. You stand further away from the ball with the longer clubs. The major problem as I have always seen it has been the degree Alien in the longer clubs, or the lack off loft to be more exact. Watch a good player and they love the longer irons. I know many players have taken to the Utility Clubs too and this is not directly related to you because the added loft to those fancy Utility Clubs. You Fine Wine still benefit however.

The most important thing to remember when choosing a long iron and I am referring to the 3 iron, the 2 iron and the seldom used 1 iron. You have a slightly longer swing and as a result, it will take a tiny bit longer for the downswing to contact the ball. What you want to do is, swing the same as you would a seven iron. I know it is easy to say that but it is so true. For some reason a golfer gets it into their head, they need to swing harder to get the ball elevated and because of the straighter face, more things can go wrong.

When you watch a top professional hit the long irons, you will get the sense, they are swinging the same as if it were a nine iron. In balance and not forcing the swing at all. If you remember previously, I was talking about how the hands can ruin the swing if you allow them to over take the arms. That's know as "Casting" Or, Throwing the club from the top.
